With the long school holidays coming up fast, many of us are preparing for The Great Getaway, or Annual Family Holiday as it is sometimes known. Destinations will be many and varied, from the stay-cationers choosing British shores for their break to more exotic locales like Bali or New Zealand, (if you can stand the kids on a twenty hour flight). But we all know the problem with going away at this time of year, and that is the cost. Research has shown that holidays can be six to ten times more expensive for exactly the same destination and accommodation than off peak periods, which is not funny in these particularly straightened times. But there is one part of the holiday that many people seem to forget about until the last minute, and that is what you spend when you're away. There's no point in spending all that money on flights, rooms and sun block only to eat like a student when you get there. You want to enjoy yourself. The problem is, all too often you end up spending more per day on food, drinks and entertainment than you would do at home. So what do you do when you find you've run out of funds? This is where a payday loan could help, and if you do it right it could actually end up not costing you anything at all to borrow what you need.
A payday loan is a short term cash loan you can apply for easily online and have the money in your account the same day. You can use it for anything you want, with no questions asked, and simply repay it on your next pay day. Most lenders charge between £20 - £25 per £100 borrowed for this type on lending, so if you borrowed £300 you would pay around £70 in fees. This sound like a lot, but when you consider how much you save whilst you're away on things like electricity and gas bills, with the average household utility bill around £150 per month, this would easily cover the fee. And when you consider that there's no interest charged on the loan, unlike a credit card where you'll pay not just interest but a cash advance fee as well, a starts to look like a really affordable option, particularly when you consider that, done right, it could cost you nothing whatsoever to do it. The big plus is when you get home, there's no nasty hefty credit card bill to look forward to!
