Flexible loans are a relatively new loan in the financial marketplace and they may give you extra options if you need some urgent additional cash.
Extra money
Few of us can say with confidence that we couldn't use a little extra money but some months the need may be greater than at other times.
Just a few examples might include:
- the children are in dire need of some new clothes for the start of the new term;
- the car's exhaust has just fallen off;
- you've just seen a special summer sale offering an phenomenally cheap vacuum cleaner that you desperately need;
- you've just had a bill in that was entirely unexpected and which needs payment immediately;
- the final payment for the holiday is due on a day that's hugely inconvenient in terms of your next payday.
All these things may cause us to wish we had a little extra cash - and that's where flexible loans may be able to step in to help.
The payday loan
The payday loan is a form of flexible cash advance.
The way it works is contained in its name. You simply borrow an amount of money and then pay it back on your next or perhaps next-but-one payday.
What you need the loan for is your business and with many pay day loan companies there are no intrusive questions of that nature asked.
The sums involved in a payday loan are typically smaller than in conventional loans - typically several hundred pounds.
That means that the loan providers typically don't perform a full credit history check so you may be able to secure an advance even if you have some types of problem on your credit history files.
Getting the money
The application process for flexible loans is typically conducted online and is very fast. You'll get a rapid decision and if the provider says yes, the money could be in your bank account in a couple of hours or so (if your bank is able to process instant transfers).
Paying it back
The loan provider will simply debit your bank account with the previously agreed amount covering the loan and their charges.
If you are unable to meet the repayment, contacting the loan provider in advance may sometimes result in an agreement to re-schedule the automatic debit but some additional charges may apply and not all lenders may be agreeable to this.
Flexible payday loans
Used responsibly, flexible loans may offer you the opportunity to keep control of your finances when those difficult months arrive.
